Gili Island Hopping
It’s very easy to get here from Gili Trawangan or Gili Meno, you just need to choose how you want to do your Gili Island Hopping. Below are the options available. WARNING: due to extremely strong currents even the strongest swimmers should not attempt to swim between the islands.
Island Hopping Boat - Slow Gili Style
There is a boat called the Island Hopper that runs twice a day, once at 9:00 am and then again at 4:00 pm. The boat takes half an hour to get here and costs only 40,000 IDR per person. Relax and take in the island life, as everyone from backpackers to locals returning from Lombok, use these boats to commute between Lombok and the three Gilis. Speed is not necessarily of the essence, but they are a reliable, affordable transport option. This boat gives you a chance to soak in the true Indonesian boating experience, highly recommended, if you are not in a hurry.
Once you are in the Harbour in Gili Air you can just jump in a horse cart and for 100,000 IDR they will bring you (and your luggage) to Manta Dive. Or you can walk 10 minutes to Manta Dive heading right from the main harbor and following the beach road.
Public Speed Boat - Luxury Gili Island Hopping
There is also a speedboat option now between the Gili Islands. The boat runs every full hour between the islands from 9 am until 4 pm daily. The price is 100,000 IDR per ticket. This is a speedy way to cruise between the islands in a sleek boat. Max time 15 minutes between any of the islands and it leaves on time to Gili Meno, Air, or Lombok destinations. This boat does not go to Bali, only between the Gili Islands.
The speedboat will drop you on the pier down by the main harbor, a 10-minute walk or 5-minute horse cart journey from Manta Dive.
Island Hopping by Private Speed boat
If you want to choose your departure time and travel on your own speed boat then this is the option for you.The speed boat can take up to 10 pax, you can select your departure time and depending on the tide can often be picked up or dropped off very close to your hotel, instead of being dropped in the harbour. Check prices and book your trip online.
